Bauska - a beautiful city in a beautiful country.

The city of Bauska is situated 65 km from the capital city of Riga on the level ground of Zemgale, in the center of Latvia and close to the southern border. Bauska plays an important part in the agglomeration of Riga due to its strong labour and cultural support.

The territory of Bauska city (609.4 ha) is located at 13 to 20 meters above sea level. The neighbouring rivers Musa and Memele flow together to form one of the largest rivers in Latvia, the Lielupe (literally: Big River).

The centeral part of Bauska is divided by general state roads and two bridges over the Musa and Memele rivers.

Bauska borders with the districts of Ceraukste, Islice, Rundale, and Code.
